According to a report in this morning’s Sun newspaper, Joe Cole is set to turn his back on a move to Arsenal and head north to Old Trafford. The 28-year-old failed to agree terms to extend his contract at Chelsea and will become a free agent next Wednesday. There is plenty of interest in signing Cole, but original reports said that he wanted to stay down south so Arsenal or Tottenham looked favourites to get his signature. Now, The Sun reports that Cole has told friends that Old Trafford is his favoured destination. Cole said earlier this month: “I’m just focused on the World Cup at the moment.” It is very likely that Cole will start England’s crucial World Cup game against Slovenia on Wednesday. www.manutdlatest.co.uk | www.manutdlatest.co.uk
